The introduction of blogging into my life was tough because I never really considered running a blog prior to enrolling LA101H. The assignment of running two blogs throughout the semester was definitely a learning experience.
I chose two blog posts from my Rhetoric and Civic Life blog for revision. I think that (Not So) Happy Meals and Obama & Energy Innovation are the best representations of rhetoric in my daily life. Volunteering at a Presidential event and reflecting on rhetorical elements of McDonald’s advertising allowed me to tie Rhetoric to personal experience while gaining a better understanding of different rhetoric topics. For each of these blog entries, I revised them with the goal of providing clear definitions and vivid language.
The final blog post I chose for revision was from my Passion Blog. While the LA101H course has changed my perspective on Rhetoric, researching my career goals changed my perspective on the most appropriate major. Through the publishing of weekly blog posts, I believe that my Passion Blog aided in the revelation I had about changing my major and I am very thankful for that. I revised this blog post with the goal of adding more personal reflection.
